A class action settlement involving Jerry Ackerman Motor Company, Inc. d/b/a Jerry Ackerman Toyota ("Ackerman Toyota" or "Dealer" or "Defendant") received final approval in the Circuit Court of the City of St. Louis, Missouri on September 6, 2013.
Under the terms of settlement all customers who paid a doc fee, processing fee, dealer processing fee, documentation fee, admin fee, or similarly named fee ("Processing Fee") to Ackerman Toyota as part of the purchase or lease of an automobile between July 23, 2005 and September 13, 2010 (the "Class Period") are members of the Settlement Class and were eligible to file a claim to receive a Voucher that can be used for service and parts, or toward the purchase or lease of a new or used vehicle. The value of Vouchers used for the purchase or lease of a new vehicle will be doubled.
A portion of the Vouchers were distributed on October 7, 2013. Under the terms of the settlement, the Vouchers will be distributed to the class in four equal distributions within one year of the September 6, 2013 Final Approval Date.
The claim filing deadline was August 16, 2013. That deadline has passed and claims can no longer be submitted.
